Making Money Ideas

Making money ideas are a dime a dozen. They're all over the Internet. Most of them are "Get-Rich-Quick" schemes and don't work. Building a profitable website is not fast and it is not easy. However, if you are building a website about something you are passionate about, it shouldn't be work.

Basically what I'm teaching you here is how to make money writing! It doesn't have to be elaborate and it doesn't have to sound like a university English major is doing the writing. It has to sound like you!

Yes, it helps to use proper grammar and you shouldn't have any spelling mistakes. But, with Spell Checker and Grammar Checker now readily available on most "Word-like" programs, you should be OK. Write from your heart about your passion and you will be fine.

Great, but I can hear you asking "Are my ideas for a website (based on my passions) make money ideas or will they just be fun?"

This is where we have to do some work.

Provide Good Content And Presell!

I think some of the happiest people on earth are people who get paid to do what they would otherwise do for fun! So, lets start there. What are your passions? Lets explore them first and see if they are making money ideas.

How do we do that? We start with the FREE EBOOK that I talked about on the FREE EBOOKS Page. If you haven't already done so, click on it and go to that page and download the PDF file and read the first 35 pages. I'd download it to my desktop if I were you so it will appear as an icon on your desktop. (That's the screen that starts up when you open Windows.)

Study the Site Build It philosophy from the ebook because that is what will make your site a profitable one in the future. Providing good content on your website is very important for both the Internet search engines (like Google) and for human readers. (That's why I said above that you don't have to have a Masters Degree in English to be successful on the Internet, all you have to do is produce good READABLE content!)

Then, the other thing you have to do if you have making money ideas, is to presell yourself by letting people see you are a real, genuine person that they can trust.

If you believe those two points are key to a profitable website, then that's all you have to do. (Site Build It can prove it by the way. But can you make money by writing about your passion for sure? Maybe not! In the end, you will need to have enough people in the world interested in what you are writing about to have a reasonable amount of traffic to your site. Writing about "Famous Toenail Clippings In History" may not cut it. (No pun intended.) Then again, it might. So, how do we know?

Well, there are several tools that you can use to help you determine the possible profitability of your chosen making money ideas. I'm going to talk about 2 that I used and again, if you've read the first 35 pages of my free ebook (mentioned above) then you know that I'm talking about using the free Search It tool which you can get by clicking here.

Use it first of all to "brainstorm" for "keywords" related to your possible website subject through Wordtracker Free Keyword Tool and then through Google Adwords Keyword Tool. I'm not going to go through their usage at this point, because it is all described in the ebook. I'll tell you (probably many times on this website) that Site Build It automates a lot of these procedures and therefore makes them easier, but you don't need Site Build It to be successful. Just follow the book!

So, what will you end up with?

You will get an idea of the Supply and Demand of various "keywords" related to your passion. Once you have an idea of supply and demand, then you can project that to "profitability". In other words, you'll start to get an idea as to whether or not your new website might be able to make money.

Great, then you're off and running if things look rosy or you have to scrap the idea if it doesn't look so good. Not so fast Grasshopper! Here's something to ponder. The suggestions from these tools are great - but they're just numbers. Sometimes in life you have to go with your "gut feel". Do you REALLY have a passion for something that you don't think is being adequately covered on the Internet? Do you really believe that you have making money ideas? If that's the case, then maybe you have to ignore the numbers!

Use whatever information you can from these tools that helps you and move on. Remember, it is really important that you like what you are going to write about because you have to write a lot and about the only way you can truly fail at a well-constructed website is if you stop writing!
