Here are the best music sites according to Entertainment Weekly. (There is some question as to whether or not iTunes is even a website. I guess it is an Apple Ipod site more than anything. However, it is about music and it is busy, so I've included it.)

I suspect that a music website will have more appeal if you can actually find music you are looking for quickly and easily and then be able to download it. However there are other things to think about. Does it have "late breaking" music news, concert information or well-written stories about performers and bands? There are lots of "extras" to consider.

   This is essentially an Ipod shop that has lots of music for sale as well as (duh) Ipods. Everybody knows about iTunes.

   This site has over 6,000,000 songs and a 7-day free trial along with 45 free downloads.
   
   
3. Pandora
   Restricted to U.S. users only at this point. It may become global in the future.
   
   
4. Rhapsody
   This website has a 14 day free trial and millions of songs in various genres. It also features the Pop Charts and New Releases.
   
   
5. MySpace Music
   (Go to MySpace first and then click on the "Music" section.) Become a MySpace music fan and add all of your favourite artists and bands as friends. Also, sign up to MySpace and get album exclusives, latest music news and more!
   
   
6. The Live Music Archive
   This is the Internet concert center, committed to providing the highest quality live concerts in a lossless, downloadable format. The idea is to preserve and archive as many live concerts as possible for current and future generations.
   
   
7. Stereogum
   News, videos, blogs and everything music related can be found on this site. That includes contests and giveaways as well.
   
   
8. Turntablelab
   Clothing, equipment, books, blogs and MP3's are all part of this site. There is too much to mention.
   
   
9. KCRV
   Music talk shows, songs of the day and of course contests abound on this radio station's site. It might be worth browsing.
   
   
10. Fluxblog
    This site is actually a blog and claims to be the very first MP3 Blog. It also has several videos available to review.
