Here Are The Best Job Websites.Your Comments Are Welcome. The best job websites have probably been around for a long time because people realized early on that the Internet is a great fit for job seekers and "hirers". Any time you have 2 large groups of people, each looking for something from the other group, then the World Wide Web will work well in helping them each get what they want.
As a result, I suspect that all of the best job websites have a resume section where people can post their resumes (or CV's if you're from the U.K.) and a job posting area for companies who have personnel needs. Add a good search engine to the mix and you have a good basis for a job site. What else do you need?Resume writing tips, interview tips and any other advice you can give people who are looking for work would be helpful. Some people just don't know how to go about a proper job search.Maybe recent news affecting jobs and minimum wages or legal issues would be of interest to folks looking at these sites. Also, a blog might be helpful so people can connect with others who are in the same situation. FinallySome other things that might be good to have on the best job sites would be salary information, maybe some videos about grooming or dressing appropriately or interviewing techniques, good links to other related sites, etc. It's hard to rank these sites, though I've arbitrarily done that, but if you think another site should be added, then tell me about it below (in the form). Make sure it meets the basic criteria for a good website though by checking here first, then send it to me.
The most important thing probably is either "How fast can I get a job interview?" or "How fast can I find someone to hire?" depending on which side you're on. In the end, that's what's going to make the best job website. So here are the best job sites: Yahoo Hot Jobs As you might expect, this is one of the slickest websites in this area. It is well laid out, easy to search and chock full without being overcrowded. (It also new instantly the city and province I live in up here in Canada which is a bonus if you're looking for work in this area.) Monster This is probably one of the oldest of the "job search" websites. I seem to remember it starting over a decade ago. It is a fairly plain site but quite functional. Hound This bills itself as "The Largest Online Job Search Engine". (Does that mean it has a big engine or does lots of searches?) Lost of great information and direct company to person contacts – no middlemen. Career Builder It is U.S. based and claims to have the largest assortment of job listings on the net and combines help wanted ads from newspapers with job listings from the Web sites of leading employers. It is free to job seekers. Employment911 This one purports to have "millions" of job openings and a place to post your resume that "thousands" of employers use. Besides that it has great career articles, tools, links, free email accounts, and much more. Net-Temps.com As the name implies, this site specializes in temporary hiring, which is great if that's what you are looking for. Remember however that many temp jobs lead to full time employment so if that's what you are looking for then use this site as well. Dice We are now getting into the "specialized" websites. This one specializes in "Tech Careers". It is well laid out with lots of interest areas like news and advice and other tech topics. Find a Recruiter.com A rather plain site but I include it because people sometimes forget that if you register with a recruiter (for free) and interview with them, then you have another set of eyes and ears looking for work for you! Interview Exchange For sure this is a bit of a new concept in job search. Job seekers who are interested in job listings are rated based on how closely they match the qualifications in the job posting. If the rating system is accurate, this could be a big time saver for companies. CareerJet Careerjet is a job search engine designed to make the process of finding a job on the internet easier for the user. It maps the huge selection of job offerings available on the internet in one extensive database. If you are looking for a job now, try the box below:
