Here Are The Best Guitar Websites.

The best guitar websites are likely only of interest to a small percentage of the general public but because I'm one of the few who are interested in guitars, I decided to do it now! I have also done a "music" page, so if you have a general interest in music, you can go there.

There seems to be a few key areas that should be a part of every best guitar site. One of them is a "How To Play" or "riffs" area where people can go and learn how to play various chords or riffs. (A riff is basically how to "pick" a guitar.) These can be anything from simple to very complex.

Thanks to the ease of video, the best guitar sites should also have demos that people can watch and therefore see how the notes or chords are played. Also, most of the great guitar players have been taped and so you should also be able to go and watch them.

Makes, Models And Styles Of Guitars

Finally, an area about the different kinds and makes of guitars and the software now associated with them would be important. Just like the rest of our world, there is an information overload going on in guitar playing and it is hard to keep all the companies and products straight.

   Besides great information and pictures of their guitars (which you would expect) you'll also find lots of great articles in their news-lifestyle section.
   
   
2. Harmony Central
   This site is not exclusively about guitars but it does make up a big part of it. The user reviews about guitars and effects pedals should be covered before you buy any gear.
   
   
3. YouTube
   Where else would you go for vintage footage of all the great guitar players and songs from the past? (You may even find footage from the latest concert your favorite band has played!)
   
   
4. Music Radar
   Also not a site exclusively about guitars although it does seem to be a major focus. Don't miss their "most outrageous guitars" section.
   
   
5. The Guitar Player Gear Guide
   This is a blog and so not a website but I included it here for now because of the unique kind of info it contains. Use it to discover what gear the various stars are using.
   
   
6. Lick Library
   There are great video tutorials on this site. If you are looking for guitar tutorials or lessons, this is the place to start.
   
   
7. Guitar Geek
   OK, if you're looking for every single minutae about guitar related gear, then go here. Their forums are also quite helpful.
   
   
8. Fender
   All about Fender of course. The latest news, wallpaper, Fender artist profiles and videos are found here.
   
   
9. Boss US
   The world's leading manufacturer of FX pedals has lots of great info on this site. They also have some really cool interactive demos!
   
   
10. Vintage Guitars
    Lots of great info about old guitars and amps can be found here. It is a trip down memory lane for many.
