Here Are The Best Beer Websites.

Your Comments Are Welcome.

OK, picking the best beer websites is going to be hard! All the major brewing companies have great corporate sites and then there are the "homebrew" sites, "tasters" sites, publications devoted to beer and probably others that I am missing.

But lets start with the major breweries. (Maybe I'll split this up into smaller beer groups later.)

They Should Have These Basics

These websites should be entertaining and probably interactive. (In other words, they should have games and contests.) They should probably have information about beer and ale and likely some "flash" videos including some of their TV ads that they have used. Creativity should be important to these sites.

Best Beers Company history should also show up on the best beer websites because some of these giants have been around for centuries! Their growth and development is often quite interesting.

Many of them have company branded merchandise for sale as well and the ability to purchase it from their website should be a slam dunk. (They probably make a lot of money from it!)

Finally, sports and beer seem to go together and if the company has a connection then this should also show up on the website. (Don't forget that a website should also meet these basics to be good as well. I don't think any of the best beer websites will have any trouble with the basics.)

Here They Are

(By the way, you have to go through the annoying "You have to be of legal drinking age to enter" each of these sites. Gee, it would be hard to figure out how to beat that if your were a minor!)

  1. Budweiser
Lots of video of course, as many of their commercials are famous along with their Clydesdales. You can also download things and buy goodies from their Budshop.

  2. Corona
Lots of "lifestyle" picture animation to start this website off. It also has the requisite history and store.

  3. Heineken
This is a very creative company and you can visit any of its websites to see the evidence. (Even their "date of birth" thing has won awards!) Lots of different features and hints are evident here.

  4. Carlsberg
Lots of fun stuff to keep you occupied on this website. You'll find quizzes and games as well as company info here.

  5. Guinness
Because it is Irish, they've started a petition to make St. Patrick's Day a official holiday! You can vote online as well as watch videos and take in the company's history.

  6. Coors Light
There always seems to be a contest on to win tickets to a sporting event. (They sponsor NASCAR so it is big during their season.) It also has a store of course.

  7. Fosters
Good videos on this site have an Australian slant of course, because that's where it is from. Also comes with a history lesson about the company.

  8. Miller Genuine Draft
I particularly like this Genuine Draft site (of course, it has others). "Flash type" navigation is interesting as is the "filling bottle" flash video. Uses color nicely.

  9. Beck's
From across the Atlantic comes this interesting site that has a lot of "user-generated" elements for you social networkers. Very artistic.

  10. Amstel Light
Bright colors and old photos abound on this site. History is therefore a big part of this site. An Amsterdam favorite.

Note that most of these breweries have more than one website. Most seem to have one for each of their beers! So the above sites are only part of what they offer. You might want to check out some of their other sites as well.

Do you have any best beer websites that you think we should add? Do it below. (Also let us know of any that should be removed.)
